Simplicity

Naples, Florida.

General spiritual health. Simplicity. Deep connection. Covenant. Love in life. These lights are bouncing through my brain today.

I was up early the other morning. Christina & the kids were still asleep. I saw her laying in bed. Beautiful. Wild hair. Wow, I thought, God gave me a woman. WOW! What a treasure. I walked the dogs. I observed the kids all sleeping in various states of contorsion and peace. I, a once fatherless child, am father to these people… amazing what God does…

I sat down to tie my shoes and thought, I, a once confused faithless boy and young man, have and have had the honor of shepherding men, women, and children in the pastorate and on the mission field…”

WOW! What a truly amazing God!

Marriage, family, church and professional life. They are almost never easy but they are always worth the work!

Unclutter. Unplug from unhealthy things. Unknow and unlearn unhelpful patterns.

Simplify…

“I have just three things to teach: simplicity, patience, compassion.” – Isaac Newton

Philippians 4:8–9, “And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. 9 Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you.” (NLT)
